What are the signs that your water heater is broken?

Home    更新    What are the signs that your water heater is broken?

Although rare, residential water heaters do explode and can be fatal. Both gas water heaters and electric water heaters can explode, mainly water heaters that are poorly maintained. When you find signs that the water heater may explode, you can avoid such disasters, so you can immediately request plumbing service.

Factors that cause the water heater to explode

The high temperature and high pressure inside can cause the water heater to explode. The unit is equipped with safety devices to prevent the liquid level from being too high, but when a malfunction occurs, it may cause an explosion.

When the temperature of the water heater is set too high, the thermal expansion of the water will increase the pressure in the water tank to an extremely high level. The deposits that accumulate on the bottom of the tank will insulate the heat, raising the temperature above a safe level. Rust and corrosion of metal parts can hinder their normal operation and hinder pressure regulation. Defects in other components may cause temperature rise and cause high pressure.

Normally, the system's temperature and pressure relief valve allow excess pressure to escape from the tank-if this component fails, pressure will continue to build up until the tank cannot be secured.

Gas leakage may also cause explosions and fire hazards in the water heater.
